How to get the CREATIVE JUICES FLOWING with digital art

Hey guys, ToffeeRaven here!

Stuck in an art block? In this post we'll talk about different ways to get your artistic creativity flowing again!

Free colour palettes! by Caffeyeen on DeviantArt

1. Color Palettes

Color palettes are a pretty cool way to get a digital artist out of an art block. You can make a new character or adopt with them, or draw a picture with only the colors you've chosen, or whatever comes up.

Because some color sets are stylized (like the one shown above, how the colors sort of melt into each other with wisps), you can also use the pattern in your character/adopt/art! Keep in mind where you get your palette from. Although some color palette sets are F2U (free to use), the creator might want you to credit them if you post your art.
You can also generate color palettes with https://coolors.co/ , a cool site I talked about in a previous post.

2. Looking at art from other people

Scrolling through a Twitter feed full of artists you've followed or your Deviantart watch page can be particularly in inspiring. Just don't scroll too far down the Deviantart home page.

3. Participating in art challenges

Art challenges are a fun way to try something different with your art, and sometimes trying something different can unleash that creativity. There are classic art challenges like "drawing your character in different art styles" or annual month-long art challenges like Huevember and Inktober (pictured above). With these kinds of art challenges, there is a specific prompt for each day of the specific month this art challenges is set on. Inktober actually has two different kinds of art challenges: Inktober Classic and Inktober 52. You can find out more about them here: https://inktober.com/.

And that's all for this post. Hope you guys got your art block solved! If you liked this blog, don't hesitate to subscribe!
